The Winston-Salem Prep Phoenix basketball team scored 58 points and limited the host Parkland Mustangs to 56 in the Phoenix non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Phoenix now have a 8-0 record. They play next when they host College Prep & Leadership Academy for a 1A Northwest Piedmont game on Friday, January 3. Winston-Salem Prep will confront a Royals team coming off a 65-57 non-league win over North Stanly (New London, NC). The Royals record now stands at 7-0.

With the loss, Parkland falls to 3-6 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to East Forsyth (Kernersville, NC) to confront the Eagles in a 4A Central Piedmont game on Friday, January 3. The Eagles go into the game with a record of 2-3. East Forsyth won 66-51 in their recent non-league game against Walkertown (Walkertown, NC)
