Newton-Conover Red Devils (Newton, NC) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Lake Norman Charter Knights (Huntersville, NC), 67-17 in a league bout.

With the victory, Newton-Conover upgrades its record to 10-4 on the campaign. The Red Devils travel to North Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC) to play the Knights in a South Fork 2A battle on Friday, January 11. The Knights come into the battle with a record of 8-3. North Lincoln won 54-46 in their recent non-league battle against Hibriten (Lenoir, NC)

The Knights (4-6) will now prepare for their battle against Lincolnton (Lincolnton, NC). The Wolves come into the South Fork 2A battle with a 5-6 record. In their last battle, Lincolnton was overwhelmed by West Caldwell (Lenoir, NC), 52-38, in a non-league battle.
