Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Hays Indians (Hays, KS) and the visiting Central Mustangs (Salina, KS), saw Hays's basketball squad overcome Central by a tally of 73-65.

With the victory, Hays improves its record to 9-3 on the campaign. The Indians travel to South (Salina, KS) to confront the Cougars in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 29. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 3-9. South lost 55-43 in their recent non-league challenge against Andover (Andover, KS)

Next up, the Mustangs confront the Newton Railroaders (Newton, KS) in a Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail I challenge, on Tuesday, January 29. Central will attempt to improve on its 7-5 season record. The Railroaders come into the challenge with a 7-7 record after their 65-44 non-league loss to Shawnee Mission Northwest (Shawnee Mission, KS).
