In Friday's non-league outing, the Statesboro Blue Devils (Statesboro, GA) basketball squad edged the visiting Academy of Richmond County Musketeers (Augusta, GA), by a margin of 54-50.

The Blue Devils (12-3) will now prepare for their outing against New Hampstead (Savannah, GA). The Phoenix go into the AAAAA Region 2 outing with a 8-6 record. In their last outing, New Hampstead held off Richmond Hill (Richmond Hill, GA), 55-50, in a non-league outing.
