In Wednesday's league match, the visiting Lake Central Indians softball team scored a nice 17-1 victory over the Portage Indians.

The Indians (9-0) will now prepare for their match against Franklin Central (Indianapolis, IN). The Flashes go into the non-league match with a 4-4 record. In their last match, Franklin Central was routed by New Palestine (New Palestine, IN), 10-0, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Indians battle the Chesterton Trojans (Chesterton, IN) in a Duneland match, on Monday, April 21. Portage will attempt to better on its 3-4 season record.
