The Robinson Rams (Fairfax, VA) basketball nipped the visiting Herndon Hornets (Herndon, VA), 59-56 in Wednesday's non-league test.

The Rams (7-9) will now prepare for their test against West Springfield (Springfield, VA). The Spartans go into the District 4 test with a 4-10 record. In their last test, West Springfield was tipped by Lake Braddock (Burke, VA), 94-85, in a league test.

The Hornets now own a 6-8 record. They play next when they host McLean for a District 2 test on Friday, January 24. Herndon will confront a Highlanders team coming off a 77-71 league loss to Washington-Liberty (Arlington, VA). The Highlanders record now stands at 3-11.
