In Thursday's league contest, the host Augusta Christian Lions basketball team scored a good 74-64 triumph over the Heathwood Hall Episcopal Highlanders.

The Lions (18-2) will now prepare for their contest against Northside Christian Academy (Lexington, SC). The Crusaders go into the SCISA 4A Region I contest with a 11-4 record. In their last contest, Northside Christian Academy topped South Charlotte (Matthews, NC), 82-48, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Highlanders confront the Hilton Head Christian Academy Eagles (Hilton Head Island, SC) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, January 18. Heathwood Hall Episcopal will attempt to better on its 11-5 season record. The Eagles go into the contest with a 2-12 record after their 70-64 league loss to Laurence Manning Academy (Manning, SC).
