The De La Salle Spartans crushed the host Liberty Lions baseball team by a tally of 9-1 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Spartans now hold a 22-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pittsburg for a non-league bout on Tuesday, May 23. De La Salle will face a Pirates team coming off a 4-2 non-league win over Freedom (Oakley, CA). The Pirates record now stands at 20-9.
