In Friday's league match, the visiting Taft Toreadors basketball team scored a good 55-47 triumph over the Birmingham Patriots.

In their next game, the Toreadors meet the Chatsworth Chancellors (Chatsworth, CA) in a West Valley match, on Wednesday, January 28. Taft will attempt to better on its 11-12 season record. The Chancellors enter the match with a 11-14 record after their 73-60 league loss to El Camino Real (Woodland Hills, CA).

With the defeat, Birmingham moves to 10-11 on the year. The Patriots travel to Cleveland (Reseda, CA) to meet the Cavaliers in a West Valley match on Wednesday, January 28.
