Sequoia Cherokee (Redwood City, CA) fans were thrilled Wednesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Fremont Firebirds (Sunnyvale, CA), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Cherokee confront the Los Gatos Wildcats (Los Gatos, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, February 24. Sequoia will attempt to better on its 14-4 season record. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a 11-7 record after their 1-0 non-league win over Salinas (Salinas, CA).
