In Tuesday's league match, the visiting Garland Owls basketball team scored a tight 79-72 triumph over the Sachse Mustangs.

In their next game, the Owls meet the South Garland Colonels (Garland, TX) in a 6A Region II District 9 match, on Thursday, January 28. Garland will attempt to better on its 12-2 season record. The Colonels enter the match with a 11-7 record after their 72-55 league win over North Garland (Garland, TX).

With the defeat, Sachse moves to 9-6 on the year. The Mustangs travel to South Garland (Garland, TX) to meet the Colonels in a 6A Region II District 9 match on Friday, January 29. The Colonels enter the match with a record of 11-8. South Garland lost 84-58 in their recent league match against Garland (Garland, TX)
