North Carolina High School Basketball - East Duplin ripped by South Columbus
January 21, 2019: Tabor City, NC 28463 The South Columbus Stallions basketball team scored 66 points and held the visiting East Duplin Panthers to 27 in the Stallions non-league triumph on Monday.
The Stallions now sport a 12-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Red Springs for a Three Rivers 1A/2A contest on Tuesday, January 22. South Columbus will battle a Red Devils team coming off a 65-62 league win over West Bladen (Bladenboro, NC). The Red Devils record now stands at 5-10.
The Panthers (7-8) will now prepare for their contest against James Kenan (Warsaw, NC). The Tigers enter the East Central 2A contest with a 8-9 record. In their last contest, James Kenan triumphed over Wallace-Rose Hill (Teachey, NC), 69-58, in a league contest.
