The Sullivan South Rebels (Kingsport, TN) football defeated the host Gate City Blue Devils (Gate City, VA), 42-12 in Friday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Rebels face the Pigeon Forge Tigers (Pigeon Forge, TN) in a non-league bout, on Friday, September 13. Sullivan South will attempt to advance on its 2-2 season record. The Tigers enter the bout with a 0-3 record after their 38-19 non-league loss to Grainger (Rutledge, TN).

The Blue Devils (1-2) will now prepare for their bout against Ridgeview (Clintwood, VA). The enter the Mountain bout with a 2-0 record. In their last bout, Ridgeview defeated Central (Norton, VA), 41-20, in a league bout.
