Elmer L. Meyers Mohawks (Wilkes-Barre, PA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Wyoming Area Warriors (Exeter, PA), 51-40 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Elmer L. Meyers upgrades its record to 8-2 on the season. The Mohawks host Holy Redeemer (Wilkes-Barre, PA) to play the Royals in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 17. The Royals go into the bout with a record of 10-3. Holy Redeemer won 63-12 in their recent league bout against MMI Preparatory School (Freeland, PA)

Next up, the Warriors play the Wyoming Seminary College Prep Blue Knights (Kingston, PA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 17. Wyoming Area will attempt to upgrade on its 3-10 season record.
