Kaitlan Engels has been named player of the year. "Kaitlan saved her best for last. As a result of her efforts, she was voted to 2nd Team All-Division 1 North. As a senior and one of our captain's, she led the team in scoring and rebounding. She finished with(12) double-doubles on the way to scoring ( 247) points and pulling down (273) rebounds. She averaged (10) ppg and (11) rpg. She also had (43) steals and (44) assists. In her (4) years at Cumberland, Kate started in (93) straight varsity games. Over the (4) years, she scored (589) points, grabbed (789) rebounds, had (148) steals, and (222) assists. Kaitlan was selected to the Division 1 All-Star Games in 2013 and 2014. She was also selected to 3rd Team All-Division 1 North in 2013. While at Cumberland, her teammates voted her Rookie of the Year in 2011, Most Valuable Guard 2011-13, Most Valuable Forward 2014, MVP 2014, and Top Rebounder 2011-14. We will surely miss Kaitlan next year and wish her the best."
