    Andrea Torres has been named player of the year. "Andrea Torres was named Player of the Year in our Conference in addition to being named First Team All-Conference. Andrea led in virtually every statistical category including leading the nation in Steals Per Game at 14.1 SPG. Additionally, Andrea averaged 19.6 PPG (18th in California and 11th in CIF-Southern Section)) and 4.4 Blocks Per Game (11th in California and 3rd CIF-Southern Section). Andrea also averaged 9.2 Rebounds Per Game and 4.4 Assists Per Game. Andrea averaged a Double-Double in Points and Steals for the season, and nearly a Triple-Double. In addition to these outstanding statistics, she made her team and teammates better, by constantly helping them in practice, giving input during games, while giving that contagious smile that not only made her players loose for the game, it demonstrated her joy of the game. These are true leadership traits that I know will help her succeed not only in basketball, yet are characteristics that will help her succeed in life."
