Chris White has been named player of the year. "Though Chris White was one of the most underrated players in all of San Diego county, as he was the one player every coach had to game game plan for when playing against Horizon Prep. Chris lead the Lions to two league championships, and three playoff appearances during his three year playing career. As a senior, he averaged 18.8 points and 10.5 rebounds a game. For his career, he is the first player in Horizon Prep history to score over a 1000 points and grab over 750 rebounds. Chris earned 1st team all-league honors three consecutive years, Player Of The Year twice, and was team captain for his final two years. Chris's most important contribution to the program is the legacy he leaves behind. He modeled excellence in all that he does. He is competitive, yet humble...a servant leader both on and off the court. Congratulations Chris! We are proud of you for all your accomplishments, and look forward to your success as a Div.1 Javelin thrower at Brown University next year!"

Player of the Year

Chris White has been named player of the year. "As a first year player, Chris lead his Horizon Prep basketball team to it's first ever undefeated league season. His accomplishments garnered him 1st team All League honors, as well as being selected as the Pioneer League "Player of the Year" for the 2017-2018 season. Chris lead the team in both scoring and rebounding with 12.8 /8.6 per game respectively, while shooting 65% from the field. Not only was Chris one of the most skillful players on the court, but rarely could someone match his effort and aggression. One of Chris's greatest strengths was his ability to rebound on the defensive end, and then get down court to finish off a fast break. Chris was a leader off the court as well, earning the respect and admiration of both his coaches and fellow players alike. Going into his Junior year, Chris has already been named as team Captain for the 2018-2019 season. Congratulations Chris on an amazing season! "
