Gwendolyn Murphy has been named player of the year. "In her first year playing shortstop Gwen had a 950 fielding %. She took away many sure hits with great defensive plays. offensively, Gwen was unstoppable. She had a 640 batting average, an 1100 slugging percentage, 15 doubles, 8 triples and 4 home runs. She also had 34 stolen bases. She was the best offensive weapon in 1 or 2A softball. "
