John Newman has been named player of the year. "John Newman led the team in scoring and was the team's leader on the court. He scored 24 points and was the MVP of the NCISAA 3A State Championship Game. He was selected to the NCISAA All-State team for the 2nd consecutive year and was selected to the PACIS All Conference Team for the 3rd consecutive year. He was the HAECO Invitational MVP and made the HAECO All-Tournament team for the 3rd consecutive year. He was also selected to the 'Iolani Classic All-Tournament Team. He was selected to play in the NC Private School All-Star Game and the Triad All-Star Game. John is a 3 time state champion and will play basketball at Clemson University next year. "
