Ava Costales has been named player of the year. "Senior captain Ava Costales, is selected as player of the year. She attended every game even if it was for only a couple of innings before having to be somewhere else. Although her main position is catcher, she played whatever position she was asked to play including, catching, first base, second base, short stop, third base, outfield, and even warmed up to pitch. Costales led the team offensively maintaining an above .500 BA and 46 hits at 90 at bats. Costales racked up 12 home runs and 43 RBI's to lead the Huskies. Additionally, Ava managed to maintain above a 4.0 GPA and is recruited to play for the University of Michigan in the fall. Congratulations Ava Costales!"
