Claire Okerlund has been named player of the year. "No doubt player of the year would go to Claire. She has changed the face of volleyball for our school the past 2 seasons not only with her high level of skill but with her leadership. She was named Freeway League MVP along with team MVP. She is a captain for the team and someone we would not be able to have the success we have without. Going from a 3 rotation middle on a team where they didn't set the middle, to a 6 rotation outside hitter who had to pass, serve, play defense and get a majority of the kills. Claire also lead our league in kills. She is an all around volleyball player who was scared a lot of teams and put Sunny Hills on the radar; I am so proud of her. "
