Brianna Lorta has been named player of the year. "Briannah Lorta is this years player of the year. Briannah was one of two team captains this year. Briannah led our team in scoring with a thirteen point average per game. Also she was very instrumental in our teams success this year. We are trying to change the culture at Madera South and this year was the beginning of a great tradition. This will be Briannah's fourth year as a varsity player. She is very close to becoming the teams all time scorer with the most points for the girls program. I am very excited to have her back for one more year to lead our team. I look forward to seeing how she take her game to another level. For these reasons, I nominate Briannah Lorta as our teams player of the year."
