Mitchell Parker has been named player of the year. "The coaching staff would like to congratulate #42 Mitchell Parker on being named North Florida Christian Basketball's 2011-2012 Player of the Year. Mitchell had an outstanding season helping lead the Eagles to a final record of 21-6, one of the best sesaons in school history. The Eagles also won the district championship for only the second time in school history and a had a perect 8-0 record in District 1-3A. Mitchell led the team in scoring, rebounds and blocks throughout the season. His best game came against Taylor County where he scored 30 points, brought down 17 rebounds and blocked 4 shots. He was named the All-Tournament MVP at the Chick-fil-A Holiday Classic in Decemebr. Recently Mitchell was selected by area coaches to play in the FACA All-Star Basketball Classic to be held March 17th. Mitchell is currently being recruited by several colleges to play basketball and is praying about which opportunity the Lord would have him accept. "
