Layla Tillery

Layla Tillery has been named player of the year. "Layla participated as a member of the Girls Basketball Team at Atkins and emerged as a leader on the floor. Layla worked extremely hard to improve her offensive and defensive skill level during the off-season. Attending volunteer workout sessions during the spring, summer and fall each year. Her contributions included leading the team in scoring, rebounds, assists, steals and block shots, while ranking in the top five of the conference categories the last three years. Layla is extremely coachable and has at times played all five positions, whenever the Coach needed her leadership in crucial times. The last two years, the Atkins Lady Camels finished in the top four in a very competitive 3A West Conference standings. Layla has also excelled in the classroom as an honor roll student. Atkins High School will miss Layla as student athlete and wish her as she embarks on her next chapter in life. "
