Matt Rodriguez has been named player of the year. "For the past 4 years Matt "Tank" Rodriguez has given fans, friends and family members something to cheer about. He will leave Wilson High School as a 3 time First Team All League Valley Vista selection. This season Matt had another outstanding year. He had a 31 consecutive innings streak in which he didn't allow a run, leading the Wildcats to the Quarterfinals in the CIF playoffs for the first time in more than 30 years.
