New York High School Football - Batavia edged by Le Roy
September 2, 2005: Batavia, NY 14020 The Le Roy Knights football team scored 27 points and held the host Batavia Blue Devils to 20 in the Knights non-league win on Friday.
The Knights (1-0) will now prepare for their game against Wellsville (Wellsville, NY). The Lions enter the Section 5 Livingston II game with a 0-1 record. In their last game, Wellsville was edged by Bolivar-Richburg (Wellsville, NY), 53-0, in a non-league game.
The Blue Devils now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they host Brighton for a Section 5 Monroe III game on Friday, September 9. Batavia will meet a Barons team coming off a 14-6 non-league loss to Wayne Central (Rochester, NY). The Barons record now stands at 1-0.
