September 1, 2006: Atlanta, GA 30316 Fans at Friday's non-league match between the King Lions (Lithonia, GA) and the host McNair Mustangs (Atlanta, GA), saw King's football squad tip McNair by a count of 25-23.
With the victory, King upgrades its record to 1-0 on the year. The Lions travel to Redan (Stone Mountain, GA) to battle the Raiders in a 2-AAAAA test on Saturday, September 9. The Raiders come into the test with a record of 0-1. Redan lost 33-0 in their recent non-league test against Creekside (Fairburn, GA)
Next, the Mustangs battle the Rome Wolves (Rome, GA) in a non-league test, on Saturday, September 9. McNair will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Wolves come into the test with a 1-0 record after their 41-0 non-league win over Decatur (Decatur, GA).
