October 6, 2006: Carmichaels, PA 15320 The Carmichaels Mighty Mikes ran past the visiting Mapletown Maples football squad by a final score of 21-12 in Friday's league challenge.
The Mighty Mikes now sport a 2-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to West Greene for a WPIAL A 4 challenge on Friday, October 13. Carmichaels will clash with a Pioneers squad coming off a 35-0 non-league loss to Fort Cherry (McDonald, PA). The Pioneers record now stands at 2-4.
With the defeat, Mapletown moves to 4-2 on the campaign. The Maples host California (Coal Center, PA) to clash with the Trojans in a WPIAL A 4 challenge on Friday, October 13. The Trojans go into the challenge with a record of 3-3. California won 53-14 in their recent league challenge against Geibel Catholic (Connellsville, PA)
