Alabama High School Football - Central of Coosa County trounced by Russell
September 23, 2005: Alexander City, AL 35010 The Russell Wildcats football team scored 59 points and held the visiting Central of Coosa County Cougars to 14 in the Wildcats non-league win on Friday.
The Wildcats now own a 4-1 record. They play next when they host Talladega for a 5A Region 3 game on Friday, September 30. Russell will meet a Tigers team coming off a 26-9 non-league loss to Pell City (Talladega, AL). The Tigers record now stands at 2-3.
The Cougars (2-3) will now prepare for their game against Cleburne County (Heflin, AL). The Tigers enter the 4A Region 3 game with a 4-0 record. In their last game, Cleburne County was trounced by Beauregard (Heflin, AL), 55-6, in a league game.
