West Virginia High School Basketball - Bland County fells Montcalm
January 30, 2023: Montcalm, WV 24747 Bland County Bears (Rocky Gap, VA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Montcalm Generals (Montcalm, WV), 67-50 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Bland County upgrades its record to 14-6 on the season. The Bears host Grayson County (Independence, VA) to clash with the Blue Devils in a Mountain Empire bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a record of 5-11. Grayson County won 46-37 in their recent league bout against Galax (Galax, VA)
Next up, the Generals clash with the Eastern Montgomery Mustangs (Elliston, VA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 2. Montcalm will attempt to upgrade on its 9-5 season record. The Mustangs go into the bout with a 1-17 record after their 61-16 league loss to Parry McCluer (Buena Vista, VA).
