January 18, 2022: Newport, NH 03773 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Newport Tigers (Newport, NH) and the visiting Mascenic Regional Vikings (New Ipswich, NH), saw Newport's basketball squad overcome Mascenic Regional by a tally of 43-28.
With the victory, Newport improves its record to 3-3 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Stevens (Claremont, NH) to confront the Cardinals in a Division III challenge on Friday, January 21. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a record of 6-1. Stevens won 48-40 in their recent league challenge against Kearsarge (North Sutton, NH)
Next up, the Vikings confront the Somersworth Toppers (Somersworth, NH) in a Division III challenge, on Wednesday, January 19. Mascenic Regional will attempt to improve on its 1-7 season record. The Toppers come into the challenge with a 2-4 record after their 45-39 league win over Raymond (Raymond, NH).
