Washington High School Basketball - North Beach topped by Ocosta
December 12, 2023: Ocean Shores, WA 98569 The Ocosta Wildcats basketball team scored 48 points and restricted the host North Beach Hyaks to 31 in the Wildcats league victory on Tuesday.
The Wildcats now sport a 4-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Crescent for a non-league contest on Friday, December 15. Ocosta will battle a Loggers team coming off a 69-12 non-league win over Wishkah Valley (Aberdeen, WA). The Loggers record now stands at 4-3.
The Hyaks (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Raymond/South Bend (Raymond, WA). The Ravens come into the 2B Pacific contest with a 4-1 record.
First Quarter
Sr Alexia Bradley Scored 11 of her game high 18 points in the first Quarter to help the Ocosta Wildcats get off to a fast start in their League game Tuesday night at North Beach.
Second Quarter
8th Grader Bristol Towle led the way with 5 Points in the 2nd Quarter to help the wildcats to a 26-9 advantage at the half.
Third Quarter
A slow start to the 2nd half cut into the wildcats lead. But solid defense provided by (Sr) Brynn Rasmus and (Jr) Gabby Ness helped keep the Wildcats comfortably ahead going into the final period.
Fourth Quarter
The fourth quarter was dominated by (So) Anna Davis who scored 8 of her 11 Points and 3 of her game high 8 Steals in the Quarter. to help the Wildcats pull away and win 48-31. Anna Davis added 17 Rebounds, Alexia Bradley had 12 Rebounds and (Fr)Elly Mirante recorded 7 Rebounds to pace the wildcats.
