Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Fairmont Golden Tornadoes (Fairmont, NC) and the host Red Springs Red Devils (Red Springs, NC), saw Fairmont's basketball squad wallop Red Springs by a tally of 40-14.

With the victory, Fairmont improves its record to 13-8 on the campaign. The Golden Tornadoes host Midway (Dunn, NC) to confront the Raiders in a 2A Conference 7 challenge on Friday, February 11. The Raiders come into the challenge with a record of 10-11. Midway won 34-13 in their recent league challenge against West Bladen (Bladenboro, NC)

Next up, the Red Devils confront the St. Pauls Bulldogs (St. Pauls, NC) in a 2A Conference 7 challenge, on Friday, February 11. Red Springs will attempt to improve on its 8-15 season record.
