The Elgin Comets held off the visiting Perry Commodores football team by a count of 68-62 in Friday's league outing.

With the win, Elgin upgrades its record to 1-3 on the season. The Comets host Waynesfield-Goshen (Waynesfield, OH) to encounter the Tigers in a Northwest Central outing on Friday, September 17. The Tigers go into the outing with a record of 3-1. Waynesfield-Goshen lost 26-7 in their recent league outing against Upper Scioto Valley (McGuffey, OH)

With the loss, Perry moves to 1-3 on the season. The Commodores host Hardin Northern (Dola, OH) to encounter the Polar Bears in a Northwest Central outing on Friday, September 17. The Polar Bears go into the outing with a record of 3-1. Hardin Northern won 45-12 in their recent league outing against Ridgedale (Morral, OH)
