New Jersey High School Basketball - Seneca can't hold off Cherokee
February 8, 2022: Tabernacle, NJ 08088 The Cherokee Chiefs basketball team scored 55 points and held the host Seneca Golden Eagles to 48 in the Chiefs non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Chiefs now sport a 12-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cherry Hill West for a non-league contest on Thursday, February 10. Cherokee will battle a Lions team coming off a 57-49 non-league win over Woodbury (Woodbury, NJ). The Lions record now stands at 10-9.
The Golden Eagles (5-14) will now prepare for their contest against Burlington Township (Burlington, NJ). The Falcons enter the non-league contest with a 13-5 record. In their last contest, Burlington Township nudged Montgomery (Skillman, NJ), 58-47, in a non-league contest.
