Nevada High School Basketball - Sage Ridge nips Virginia City

February 5, 2022: Reno, NV 89511

Sage Ridge Scorpions (Reno, NV) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Virginia City Muckers (Virginia City, NV), 57-54 in a league bout.

With the victory, Sage Ridge upgrades its record to 10-10 on the campaign. The Scorpions travel to Oasis Academy (Fallon, NV) to play the Bighorns in a 1A Western bout on Friday, February 11. The Bighorns come into the bout with a record of 5-10. Oasis Academy lost 45-15 in their recent league bout against Coleville (Coleville, CA)

Next up, the Muckers play the Pyramid Lake Lakers (Nixon, NV) in a 1A Western bout, on Tuesday, February 8. Virginia City will attempt to upgrade on its 8-12 season record. The Lakers come into the bout with a 18-3 record after their 67-23 league win over Smith Valley (Smith, NV).
