The Hertford County Bears basketball team scored 67 points and held the visiting First Flight Nighthawks to 37 in the Bears league triumph on Friday.

The Bears now sport a 9-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Camden County for a 2A/3A Conference 15 contest on Tuesday, January 11. Hertford County will battle a Bruins team coming off a 71-41 league loss to Manteo (Manteo, NC). The Bruins record now stands at 4-5.

The Nighthawks (6-2) will now prepare for their contest against Holmes (Edenton, NC). The Aces enter the 2A/3A Conference 15 contest with a 4-8 record. In their last contest, Holmes triumphed over Currituck County (Barco, NC), 48-40, in a league contest.
