Grayson County Blue Devils (Independence, VA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Alleghany Trojans (Sparta, NC), 48-46 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Grayson County upgrades its record to 3-5 on the season. The Blue Devils host Holston (Damascus, VA) to clash with the Cavaliers in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 6. The Cavaliers go into the bout with a record of 1-3. Holston lost 78-52 in their recent non-league bout against Virginia (Bristol, VA)

Next up, the Trojans clash with the East Wilkes Cardinals (Ronda, NC) in a 1A Conference 36 bout, on Friday, January 7. Alleghany will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Cardinals go into the bout with a 3-7 record after their 71-35 league loss to North Stokes (Danbury, NC).
