Mississippi High School Football - Columbia knocked off by Purvis
September 30, 2011: Purvis, MS 39475 Purvis Tornadoes (Purvis, MS) fans left the game content Friday as they saw their football team gain a win over the visiting Columbia Wildcats (Columbia, MS), 28-13 in a league test.
With the triumph, Purvis improves its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Tornadoes travel to North Pike (Summit, MS) to battle the Jaguars in a 4A Region 7 test on Friday, October 7. The Jaguars come into the test with a record of 5-2. North Pike won 19-14 in their recent league test against Lawrence County (Monticello, MS)
With the loss, Columbia drops to 0-6 on the campaign. The Wildcats host South Pike (Magnolia, MS) to battle the Eagles in a 4A Region 7 battle on Friday, October 7. The Eagles go into the battle with a record of 4-3. South Pike lost 34-21 in their recent league battle against Tylertown (Tylertown, MS)
