South Carolina High School Basketball - Eastside holds off Laurens

Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Eastside Eagles (Taylors, SC) and the visiting Laurens Raiders (Laurens, SC), saw Eastside's basketball squad hold off Laurens by a tally of 58-52.

With the victory, Eastside improves its record to 13-4 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Wade Hampton (Greenville, SC) to confront the Generals in a AAAA Region 2 challenge on Tuesday, January 23. The Generals come into the challenge with a record of 2-14. Wade Hampton lost 52-37 in their recent league challenge against Riverside (Greer, SC)

Next up, the Raiders confront the Greer Yellow Jackets (Greer, SC) in a AAAA Region 2 challenge, on Friday, January 26. Laurens will attempt to improve on its 7-15 season record. The Yellow Jackets come into the challenge with a 18-4 record after their 74-61 league loss to Riverside (Greer, SC).
