Texas High School Softball - Barbers Hill bounces The Woodlands
March 2, 2024: Mt. Belvieu, TX 77580 Barbers Hill Eagles (Mt. Belvieu, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting The Woodlands Highlanders (The Woodlands, TX), 7-1 in a non-league challenge.
The Eagles now sport a 16-3 record. They take the field next when they host Crosby for a 5A Region III District 17 challenge on Tuesday, March 5. Barbers Hill will face a Cougars squad coming off a 8-6 non-league loss to Churchill (San Antonio, TX). The Cougars record now stands at 14-5.
With the loss, The Woodlands falls to 7-12 on the campaign. The Highlanders host Grand Oaks (Spring, TX) to face the Grizzlies in a 6A Region II District 13 challenge on Tuesday, March 5. The Grizzlies enter the challenge with a record of 6-6. Grand Oaks won 8-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Dayton (Dayton, TX)
