Pennsylvania High School Football - Ambridge held off by New Castle
October 11, 2014: Ambridge, PA 15003 In Saturday's league game, the New Castle Hurricanes (New Castle, PA) football team tipped the host Ambridge Bridgers (Ambridge, PA), by a final score of 45-40.
The Hurricanes (2-5) will now prepare for their game against Chartiers Valley (Bridgeville, PA). The Colts come into the WPIAL AAA Parkway game with a 2-5 record. In their last game, Chartiers Valley was tipped by Central Valley (Monaca, PA), 56-20, in a league game.
The Bridgers now hold a 1-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Blackhawk for a WPIAL AAA Parkway game on Friday, October 17. Ambridge will battle a Cougars team coming off a 23-0 league loss to Montour (McKees Rocks, PA). The Cougars record now stands at 2-5.
