Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Esperanza Aztecs (Anaheim, CA) and the visiting Marina Vikings (Huntington Beach, CA), saw Esperanza's basketball squad overcome Marina by a count of 47-34.

With the victory, Esperanza upgrades its record to 6-4 on the campaign. The Aztecs travel to El Modena (Orange, CA) to play the Vanguards in a Century challenge on Tuesday, January 4. The Vanguards come into the challenge with a record of 6-8. El Modena lost 32-25 in their recent non-league challenge against Newport Harbor (Newport Beach, CA)

Next up, the Vikings play the Newport Harbor Sailors (Newport Beach, CA) in a Sunset challenge, on Thursday, January 6. Marina will attempt to upgrade on its 5-5 season record.
