New Jersey High School Lacrosse - St. Rose held off by Holmdel
April 17, 2024: Belmar, NJ 07719 Holmdel Hornets (Holmdel, NJ) boosters exited the stadium content Wednesday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad nip the host St. Rose Purple Roses (Belmar, NJ), 10-9 in a non-league battle.
The Hornets now own a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Marlboro for a Shore - Freedom battle on Thursday, April 18. Holmdel will clash with a Mustangs squad coming off a 9-3 league loss to Manalapan (Englishtown, NJ). The Mustangs record now stands at 4-2.
In their next game, the Purple Roses clash with the St. John-Vianney Lancers (Holmdel, NJ) in a non-league battle, on Friday, April 19. St. Rose will attempt to advance on its 0-7 season record. The Lancers come into the battle with a 3-4 record after their 16-2 league win over Neptune (Neptune, NJ).
