Washington High School Basketball - Zillah overwhelms Connell
January 7, 2023: Connell, WA 99326 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Zillah Leopards (Zillah, WA) and the host Connell Eagles (Connell, WA), saw Zillah's basketball squad wallop Connell by a tally of 86-44.
With the victory, Zillah improves its record to 7-1 on the campaign. The Leopards host Wapato (Wapato, WA) to confront the Wolves in a 1A South Central - West challenge on Tuesday, January 10. The Wolves come into the challenge with a record of 5-5. Wapato won 73-58 in their recent non-league challenge against College Place (College Place, WA)
Next up, the Eagles confront the Royal Knights (Royal City, WA) in a 1A South Central - East challenge, on Tuesday, January 10. Connell will attempt to improve on its 5-6 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 4-3 record after their 44-40 non-league win over La Salle (Union Gap, WA).
