New York High School Basketball - Whitney Point nips Marathon
December 6, 2022: Whitney Point, NY 13862 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Whitney Point Eagles (Whitney Point, NY) and the visiting Marathon Olympians (Marathon, NY), saw Whitney Point's basketball squad hold off Marathon by a count of 64-61.
With the victory, Whitney Point upgrades its record to 2-1 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Lansing (Lansing, NY) to play the Bobcats in a Section 4 Interscholastic - North Large challenge on Monday, December 12. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a record of 0-0.
Next up, the Olympians play the Moravia Blue Devils (Moravia, NY) in a Section 4 Interscholastic - North Small challenge, on Friday, December 9. Marathon will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Blue Devils come into the challenge with a 1-0 record after their 72-30 league win over Groton (Groton, NY).
