Holly Springs Golden Hawks (Holly Springs, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Wake Forest Cougars (Wake Forest, NC), 49-37 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Holly Springs upgrades its record to 2-2 on the season. The Golden Hawks host Fuquay - Varina (Fuquay-Varina, NC) to play the Bengals in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 6. The Bengals go into the bout with a record of 0-4. Fuquay - Varina lost 44-23 in their recent non-league bout against Apex (Apex, NC)

Next up, the Cougars play the Southeast Raleigh Bulldogs (Raleigh, NC) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 3. Wake Forest will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 3-0 record after their 59-6 non-league win over Enloe (Raleigh, NC).
