Poolville Monarchs (Poolville, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Era Hornets (Era, TX), 55-50 in a league bout.

With the win, Poolville upgrades its record to 17-10 on the season. The Monarchs host Lindsay (Lindsay, TX) to clash with the Knights in a 2A Region II District 11 bout on Tuesday, February 3. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 13-12.

Next up, the Hornets clash with the Valley View Eagles (Valley View, TX) in a 2A Region II District 11 bout, on Tuesday, February 3. Era will attempt to upgrade on its 12-11 season record.
