In Friday's league match, the visiting Fort Bend Elkins Knights football squad scored a good 21-13 victory over the Ball Tornadoes.

In their next game, the Knights clash with the Fort Bend Willowridge Eagles (Houston, TX) in a 5A Region III District 23 match, on Friday, October 9. Fort Bend Elkins will attempt to move on its 4-1 season record. The Eagles enter the match with a 3-2 record after their 25-7 league win over Santa Fe (Santa Fe, TX).

The Tornadoes (4-1) will now prepare for their match against Texas City (Texas City, TX). The Stingarees enter the 5A Region III District 23 match with a 3-2 record. In their last match, Texas City ran past Fort Bend Marshall (Missouri City, TX), 28-21, in a league match.
