North Carolina High School Volleyball - Wesleyan Christian Academy crushed by Providence Day
September 22, 2018: High Point, NC 27262 The Providence Day Chargers topped the host Wesleyan Christian Academy Trojans volleyball team by a score of 3-0 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Chargers now have a 7-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Covenant Day for a NCISAA Charlotte test on Tuesday, September 25. Providence Day will confront a Lions team coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Rabun Gap-Nacoochee (Rabun Gap, GA). The Lions record now stands at 8-10.
The Trojans (9-6) will now prepare for their test against Greensboro Day (Greensboro, NC). The Bengals enter the non-league test with a 6-7 record.
Match Summary
The Chargers traveled up to Wesleyan Christian Academy on Saturday and played solid Charger Volleyball. Securing a 3-0 victory with scores of 25-22, 25-21, and 25-20. Kyndal Smith and Ella Abraham led the Charger offense, and Anna Riley Guiterrez and Sofia Zimmer both had very strong performances from the serving line. The Chargers are back in action this week on Tuesday and Thursday.
